Awake Liposuction for Scottsdale Patients

Liposuction removes fat that stays put through diet and exercise. Dr. Fayad uses Vaser, an ultrasound-assisted technique that loosens fat before a thin cannula removes it, and most patients stay awake with the area numbed.

Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a way to lose a lot of weight. It tends to suit people who are:

Most procedures are finished in a single visit, and you go home the same day.

  1. Planning Visit

    Dr. Fayad examines each area, asks about your goals and health, and sets a quote for your plan.

  2. Standing Markings

    On the day, he marks the areas while you stand so the plan follows how your body carries fat.

  3. Vaser Fat Removal

    The area is numbed, ultrasound loosens the fat, and a thin cannula removes it through tiny openings.

  4. Compression and Healing

    You wear a compression garment for several weeks. Light activity returns within days, and results keep refining for three to six months.

Most patients choose awake liposuction. Dr. Fayad numbs each area with local anesthesia, and Pronox, an inhaled relaxation gas, can take the edge off. For larger plans, general anesthesia given by a board-certified anesthesiologist is also available, and you decide together at your consultation.

Can Liposuction Help Me Lose 50 Pounds?

No. Liposuction removes stubborn pockets of fat to change your shape, and most patients lose only a few pounds on the scale. If weight loss is the main goal, medical weight loss is the better first step.

Can Fat From My Stomach Be Moved Somewhere Else?

Fat removed during liposuction can be purified and placed where you want more volume. Dr. Fayad is certified in Advanced Autologous Fat Transfer and uses it for facial fat transfer and nano fat transfer.

What Is Recovery Like After Liposuction?
